Upton Blues Festival – Billed as the best free Blues Festival in the UK and the UK’s Blues Festival of the year in 2015 and 2016 (as we published this, they were waiting for results for 2017).
Set in the beautiful Worcestershire riverside town of Upton upon Severn, Upton Blues Festival has grown from a small event in 2001 in just a couple of pubs into a festival that fills the town with many thousands of music fans, two main stages, an acoustic stage and ten pub venues creating over 130 free performances in three days!
The three main stages showcase huge talent including – every one of them is free! Some of the artists featured are The Swaps, The Stumble, Birmingham Community Gospel Choir and Trevor Babajack Steger (love Sawdust Man).
Registered as a charity it invests in the local area as well as running songwriting workshops, instrumental master classes, outreach and education workshops for schools.
Supported by the many business and pubs in the town, a great time is had throughout the town and the many locations will help keep your steps up on your fitness monitoring equipment!
